Our Dawlish landscape print is a recent addition to the range and captures this popular seaside resort in glorious mid morning sunshine.
Situated between Exmouth and Teignmouth, Dawlish is perhaps now best known for its seafront railway. Built in the 1840s and engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the tracks were severely damaged in the extreme storms of February 2014.
Winds of over 80mph had whipped the sea into a frenzy wild enough to breach the seawall and leave the tracks dangling precariously over the wild waves. It took two months and approximately £35 million to repair the stretch and return the promenade to its former glory.
Thankfully these events are rare and Dawlish is usually home to tranquil seas making it an ideal location for families, fishermen and watersports enthusiasts to enjoy.
